  • Where do you deliver to?

    We deliver to anywhere in South Africa. International shipments can be arranged.

  • Do you offer lay-by?

    We offer you the opportunity to buy on credit through Mobicred. To find out more about Mobicred, click here

  • Do you have a shop front?

    Yes we do. We have a small shop front based in Glenwood, Durban.

  • What are your refund policies?

    * Unwanted goods can be returned before 7 days and a full refund will be given

    * Defective goods must be returned before 7 days and the item will be replaced

    * Returned/defective items must be in original pacakaging and original condition

    * Between 7-14 days a restocking fee of 10% will be charged

    * No returns/defective goods will be accepted after 14 days

    * Glass products receive no guarantee (Flashtube, Glasscovers and Model Lamps

  • How do I rent for the first time?

    Please go to the Application Forms page which is an online application; select the relevant link.

    Please note: It can take up to 24-48 hours to process your application.

  • What is a week rate

    A week rate is when you take the gear for 5 days, but are only charged for 4 days. This week rate is ONLY from Monday 8am to Friday 1pm.

  • What is a weekend rate?

    You can pick up gear on Friday after 2pm and return no later than 9am on Monday morning.

  • Is there a late return fee?

    Unfortunately yes... We estimate the late return fee based on what time the gear is returned. Half day or full day charges will apply.

  • What are your working hours?

    Monday: 7:00am - 5:00pm

    Tuesday to Thursday:  8:00am - 5:00pm

    Fridays:  8:00am - 6:00pm

    Saturdays: 8:00am - 12:00pm

    Sundays: CLOSED

  • Who do I speak to in order to book gear?

    To Book your gear, you can phone or email our Rentals Department on +27 31 261-6961 / rentals@dtfilmservices.com

  • How can I pay?

    We are strictly cash up front. We accept both Debit and Credit Cards, Cash and EFT.


    If you pay via EFT, please bring the proof of payment with when you hire, or email it through to rentals@dtfilmservices.com

  • What if the gear gets damaged?

    In case of damage during the shoot day we will supply you with alternative equipment. The client however is liable for all damages to gear, therefore the client is liable to pay for the repair or replacement of that equipment.

  • Is there a cancellation fee?

    Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the date of hire, will be charge with NO cancellation fee.

    Any cancellations made 24 hours or less before the day of hire will be charged at a full rate.

  • Can I extend my rental?

    If  the gear is not already booked, then we will notify you either by phone or email.

    If somebody else has already booked the gear that you have, then unfortunately you will have to return it on the original agreed date.

  • What if I left my data on my memory card?

    We only format the cards before it goes out for rental. So once you realize you left your data on the card, contact us immediately so that we may copy it onto a computer for you.

    Please state whether you use a Mac or PC  for the data transfer

  • Do you have studios?

    We are currently looking into building a studio. WATCH THIS SPACE
