Our story
A family business,
built shoot by shoot.
Andrew and Michelle Nivison founded the company in 1995 as
D.T. Video — one camera, one edit suite, and a lot of long days. As the work grew, so did the family: one by one, their children joined the business.
Today DT Film Services is a specialist rental and sales house in Glenwood, Durban — film, broadcast, photography and lighting gear, plus repairs and studio hire. Our production arm has grown into its own company, DT Broadcast Productions, now run independently by Kyle Nivison.
From established photographers to freelance videographers and filmmakers, we back the people who keep Durban shooting.
